La Clandestina is an independent cultural association based in Provençals del Poblenou, Barcelona, dedicated to fostering creation, the sharing of knowledge and the development of cultural projects.
We work with artists, designers, craftspeople, cultural organisations, institutions and other creative agents to generate new opportunities for collaboration.
Our activity takes place both in our own spaces and at different points around the city, connecting disciplines, people and territories through cultural initiatives.
We believe in relationships born from the exchange of ideas, experimentation and the will to build projects together.

We collaborate with artists, designers and creative professionals to explore new practices, share processes and develop projects inside and outside our spaces.

We seek partnerships with institutions, foundations, associations and cultural organisations to drive initiatives, create meeting spaces and develop projects in different contexts across the city.

Brands and companies
We are open to collaborations and sponsorships with brands and companies interested in supporting creation, culture and projects with a distinctive identity.

Schools and universities
We encourage the sharing of knowledge through workshops, gatherings and collaborations with educational institutions linked to art, design and crafts.

We're keen to work with associations, collectives and cultural agents to strengthen the connections between culture, creation and community, both in Provençals del Poblenou and in other Barcelona neighbourhoods.

Creating is also about building neighbourhood.
La Clandestina was born and has grown in Provençals del Poblenou, a Barcelona neighbourhood shaped by its industrial past and constant transformation.
As an independent cultural association, we have spent years recovering and maintaining spaces dedicated to creation, work and the sharing of knowledge.
We believe in the importance of preserving these places, where different disciplines and ways of making coexist, and in creating connections between artists, professionals, organisations and neighbours.
But our activity goes beyond our warehouses. We drive and develop cultural projects in different parts of Barcelona, collaborating with artists, organisations and professionals to create new experiences and meeting spaces.
We see culture as a tool for connecting people, disciplines and territories, contributing to the city's cultural and creative fabric.
Our roots are in Provençals del Poblenou, but our activity reaches across Barcelona.

Poblenou Fàbrica/Fabrica
Making-of of Fab Lab Barcelona's exhibition-laboratory at Ca l'Alier on the neighbourhood's industrial past, craft present and productive futures. La Clandestina, together with resident artists Sonia Benitez Textile Studio and Mexican artist Atómica Rugs, created a collective embroidery action.
